Eligibility For a Faculty/Staff Nomination
All current Mason community members who have served as mentors of undergraduate student scholars are eligible. These may include tenure-line faculty, term faculty, adjunct faculty, post-docs, staff, and/or graduate students. OSCAR values the wealth of diverse mentoring styles at Mason and encourages nominations from all disciplines. At least one award will be reserved for graduate students or post-docs who mentor undergraduate students, and nominees will be evaluated in the context of their academic program and position.
Eligibility Student
All current Mason students are eligible. OSCAR values the diverse projects that the students have participated in and the impact of their scholarship.
Nomination
- Nominations can be made by Mason students (current, former, or alumni), faculty (including department chairs and administrators), and staff.
- If you are interested in nominating an outstanding mentor, complete the nomination form.
- Nominations must be submitted by February 18, 2025.
Award Timeline
- 02/18/25 – Deadline for nominations
- 02/25/25 – Call for award application portfolios
- 03/18/24 – Application portfolios due
- 05/06/25 – Award winners announced at the Celebration for Student Scholarship
